I’m not one for portrait paintings. I can appreciate the style and the ability but generally I pass by most ‘typical’ portrait stuff. So when I came across the work of Hubert De Lartigue I did a quick scroll through the post of his work at Cuded until this image scrolled into view.
It stopped me dead in my tracks.
I am a huge fan of just about anything steampunk, which you would know if you ready my other blog, and I am also a big lover of whimsy so when the two of them come together I cannot help sharing.

Wow.
This image grabbed me hard when I saw it this morning. It is by Elena Devochkina (hopefully I got that spelled right) and I don’t even know where to start other than to saw how powerful the image is and glad that I found it.
