Photo-manipulation takes a real skill to pull it off right. From the dark to the funny there is no denying that Christophe Gilbert has that skill.

These eight images are only a small portion of a larger collection pulled together by Tutor Art of the photo manipulation work by Italian Alberto Seveso. These are my favorites of the whole collection.

When I looked at the first couple of works by Steve McGhee I thought they were just snapshots of plane disaster that I had missed reading about but that thought quickly faded as I looked through the rest his portfolio. Even more awesome is that he is from the same neck of the woods as I am – further proof that Canucks just aren’t about cold beer and moose hunting.

There is a type of photo art called Out of Bounds photography where the idea is to take the content of the photos outside of the boundaries of the photo itself and present it in a 3D styling. Smashing Apps has a great list of 50 examples of this kind of photo art from which I’ve picked some of my favorites.
