This is another in my series of CGI artists that I started last night. Today I want to point you to the work of David Waters who does some beautiful work that covers a wide variety of style. The one’s I’ve picked out for here are his more fantasy/scifi style works; but don’t let that stop you from dropping by his site and having a look around.
Computer graphic illustration (CGI) is a branch of art that has really come into its own as our computers become more and more powerful (try doing this shit on an iPhone). The talent of some of the people in this area is absolutely incredible and over the next little while I’m going to be highlighting some of the ones that I really like.
First up is Lubos de Gerardo Surzin whose tools of the trade include 3DS Max and Photoshop. These images don’t even come close to how rich the originals are so I have included links to the full size version as well.
As some-one who at one time wanted to be an artist and has a preference to working with acrylics my abilities with vectors and pixels sucks badly. So when I see great computer graphic art like these I am totally envious of the ability.
