This I think is the very best quote I have read to date when it comes to describing the experience of seeing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and it comes to us from Brandon Lee Tenney at FirstShowing.net
And seeing a Michael Bay film in IMAX is, for me, just about equivalent to slamming a gram and a half of cut crystal straight into my median cubital. It’s a cinematic rush.

I get that people don’t like cigarettes. I get that it is a bad habit that can kill people, much as alcohol does, much like child abuse does, much like corporate pollution does and much like the toxic fumes coming from all those millions of vehicles on the road.
The thing that gets me though is that while we are more than willing to stick all kinds of ‘evil’ looking pictures on cigarette packs how come places like fast food restaurants don’t. After all is obesity, and morbid obesity, one of the leading killers these days because of things like heart attack etc etc.
I think that places like McDonalds should have to start putting huge ass warning labels on their products as well along with some pictures of congested arteries and dead hearts.
Fair is fair.

I have a thing about a woman’s eyes, after all it was the first thing I remember seeing about my wife (and still remember to this day). Bec Winnel captures that look in a woman’s eyes that can draw you and never let go.

Once more Photoshop artists never cease to amaze even if like, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau they re-vamp traditional concepts like anime art. While I still like the more traditional approach to anime I gotta say I really like his work.

For me Banksy has to be this generation’s smartest and best social artist. what I wouldn’t give to be able to see one of his shows in person but like most folks I have to be happy with what others are able to bring via the web.
Banksy is currently having a show in Bristol, England and here, thanks to My Modern Metropolis and Arrested Motion, are some of Banksy’s work that was on display.
